Understanding the brief
The first stage is to understand the client, site, intended use, priorities, budget and programme. A clear brief creates a reference point for decisions throughout the project.
Developing the design
Layouts, elevations, material direction and technical requirements are progressively resolved so that the design becomes detailed enough to coordinate and execute.
Technical coordination
Structural conditions, MEP requirements, lighting, ceilings, joinery and equipment need to align before construction advances. Coordination at this stage reduces site changes and protects the design intent.
Execution and site management
Site delivery involves trade sequencing, procurement, quality monitoring, approvals and responses to actual site conditions. Regular coordination helps maintain continuity between drawings and built work.
Snagging and handover
Completion includes more than finishing the visible work. Testing, adjustments, snag rectification, cleaning and final walkthroughs help ensure the project is ready for use.
